NYX Round Lipstick Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I am a little bit lipstick obsessed - if you didn't already know! NYX is just now being sold in Target, Australia. I already bought these lipsticks online a while ago but here's a little post about the NYX Round Lipsticks & some swatches!

There are a tonne of colours to choose from when it comes to the NYX Round Lipstick, but you can never have enough lipstick, right!?

Orange Soda is a creamy pale orange, if you have a very fair, cool toned complexion I think you should be wary as this could come across a little "concealer lips." This is my second favourite Round Lipstick and I love wearing it with tanned skin!
Marrakesh Pink is a milky coral shade and will show every little crack in your lips - even cracks you didn't know existed! My advice would be to wear it with a gloss on top. In the tube there appears to be silver glitters but nothing transfers to the lips. The best way to apply this shade is to dab it on.
Indian Pink is a gorgeous dark peach colour with gold shimmer. I love this shade! Really creamy and has a beautiful finish, the gold shimmer really makes this lipstick so pretty.

Power is a muted deep lavender that I couldn't imagine looking bad on anyone! It is so moisturising and creamy, this lipstick is a good dupe for MAC - Snob.
Paris is like the pink version of Power (above)! Power mixed with Pink Lyric (below) makes the prettiest magenta shade!
Pink Lyric is a bright, creamy, opaque medium pink. This lipstick sits really pretty on the lips and is just a lovely bright pink shade, everyone needs a bright pink!

I think that NYX Round Lipsticks are great, especially for the price! The can cost anywhere from $3 - $10 depending on where you buy from, there is definitely a shade for everyone, there are SO many colours to choose from!

MAC Snob Lipstick Dupe

MAC Snob... Where do I start... Snob by MAC is my favourite lipstick, ever! Anyone who lives in Australia would know that MAC isn't cheap here. One MAC lipstick is going to set you back $36 AUD. I usually buy high end makeup online but there are so many fake MAC products around that I only buy from trusted sites otherwise I just visit a MAC counter. Anyway, when I found a dupe for Snob I was pretty happy!

I own six out of the million (so it seems) of shades of the NYX Round Lipstick. I'm the type of person to do my research before buying makeup online because more often than not the product is totally different than I expected! When I received Power I was so happy to see it on my lips. I wore it everday for a week straight! After a while, as usual, I reached for Snob and that's when I realised just how similar they are!

A lot of blogs and swatches show Snob to be a pale pink shade but it has always looked more purple to me, I would describe Snob as mauve. Power is identical but a tad more purple. The textures of the two is what makes them the most different! Snob is classed as a "satin finish" but is definitely more matte on my lips, it can be extremely drying if worn without a balm underneath! Power is creamy and isn't drying at all but does leave some weird goo on the lips when worn for a long time. Snob definitely lasts a lot longer on the lips.

NYX lipsticks range from $2 to $10 depending where you buy them and we all know the price of a MAC lipstick! I think Power is a great dupe for Snob, either way I love them both!
