The outer box that the Velvet Noir Mascara comes packaged in is true to the Marc Jacobs product line - black & white. I find both the box and the actual mascara to be quite beautiful which is definitely expected when purchasing high end makeup. I would definitely consider this a reasonably priced high end mascara, retailing at $39 AUD at Sephora Australia!
The Velvet Noir Mascara by Marc Jacobs comes housed in a beautiful, structured tube with Marc Jacobs written in silver writing. It is truly chic. I love the glossy black finish.
The wand is an hourglass shape and is quite fluffy, it isn't a sharp, plastic want but a soft and structured bristle wand which is typical for a Volumising Mascara!
Up close you can see what I mean about the bristles! I find the Velvet Noir Mascara perfect for both top & bottom lashes - not a common find for me with most mascaras, they're usually either better suited to the top or bottom.
The formula is very volumising and gives a little added length. This is definitely a volumising mascara and not one to grab if you are specifically after length! The volume isn't clumpy and chunky, it is beautiful! The Velvet Noir Mascara is also very, very black!
